If you're looking for a warm and beautiful state to travel to one of your best bets can be Florida. Known as "The Sunshine State" it's no wonder why it is one of the most popular travel destinations in the United States. People of all ages can find something to suite their interests. Whether you're looking to relax on a sandy beach or have some fun at a theme park you're bound to be entertained in Florida.

Spring and summer seem to be the busiest times of the year when it comes to visiting Florida. This is mainly because parents want to wait for their children to be on break from school before taking a vacation. If you have the option I would suggest traveling to this state during the fall or winter months. You will enjoy shorter lines as well as cooler weather.

There are many popular tourist destinations in the state of Florida, but a few places to take into consideration would be:

Miami - Located in southeastern Florida Miami is the second largest populated city in the state. It is a great location if you are looking for shopping and nightlife. There are multiple museums and even the Zoo Miami. If you are planning on going on a cruise this is most likely were your ship will depart.

Fort Lauderdale - Fort Lauderdale is about 23 miles away from Miami in the southeastern part of the state. It is home to a plethora of nightclubs and restaurants. It hosts a beautiful beach which makes it a perfect destination for snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing. It is known for its yachting and is home to many marinas and boatyards.

Daytona - Located on the east coast of the state it is probably mostly known for its beautiful beach. This is also a popular area for NASCAR fans because it is home of the Daytona International Speedway.

Orlando - Located in central Florida it is home to many of the popular theme parks in Florida. It is a big city so it has a large amount of restaurants, shops, and nightclubs to keep you busy.

Theme Parks

Walt Disney World - Disney World is located in Lake Buena Visit near Orlando, Florida. It is said to be the most popular theme park in the world. It is made up of four different theme parks; The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. It also has two different water parks; Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.

Universal Resort - Located in Orlando this theme park features Universal Studios and Universal's Island of Adventure. Universal Studio's is centered on movies and consists of six themed areas. Islands of Adventure is made up of seven themed islands. Universal CityWalk is also located near the theme parks and it hosts a variety of nightclubs, restaurants, and shops.

SeaWorld - SeaWorld is also located in Orlando. You can enjoy animal exhibits as well as riding rides. Dolphins, penguins, killer whales, and sting rays are just a few species of the marine life that you will encounter while you are at SeaWorld.

Busch Gardens - Located in Tampa, Florida this park has an African theme. There are over 2,000 types of animals in the park. It also has many rides and attractions.
